What is it?
Fiscal receivership is a financial and legal system by which a legally recognized 501(c)(3) public charity provides limited financial and legal oversight for a project initiated independently by an artist or group of individuals. That “project” might be a one-time project or an independent artist or an arts organization that does not have its own 501(c)(3) status. Once sponsored in this way, the project is eligible to solicit and receive grants and tax-deductible contributions that are normally available only to 501(c)(3) organizations.
Mosaic Arts, Inc. supports and promotes the work of artists and cultural organizations throughout the greater Green Bay area helping to ensure a vital presence of the arts in the community. The Board of Directors makes decisions on fiscal receiverships monthly. Applications are due by the fifth (5th) of each month and will be accepted via mail or email.
Fiscal Receivership Program
Our Fiscal Receivership program provides consulting on general project activities including grant writing, fundraising, marketing, public relations and event coordination. Consideration will be given to greater Green Bay area based artists, arts and cultural organizations or arts based projects with a sliding administrative fee between 4% to 10% of the donation and/or grant.
