Things to see and do throughout the weekend…
The Art Fair offers festival patrons a chance to view and purchase the works of over 100 fine artists and craftpersons from throughout the Midwest. Exhibited for sale are original works representing various media forms including basketry, ceramics, fiber art, glass, graphic art, jewelry, metalsmithing, painting, paper art, photography, sculpture and woodwork. Arti Gras is a juried show ensuring high quality original artwork.
Providing a view of artists and their work during the creative process, patrons will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the artist’s work as well as purchase artwork.
Mosaic Art Gallery
Work by Mosaic member artists will be on display and for sale at the event. Mosaic members play an vital role in ensuring that the arts remain vibrant and valued in our community.
The Art Raffle features a fabulous collection of fine art donated by Arti Gras exhibiting artists as well as concert tickets, dinner gift certificates, overnight stays, and more donated by local businesses. Patrons will also have the chance to win many special items. Each art piece will be raffled separately with tickets sold at $1.00. Proceeds from the raffle support Mosaic’s year-round programming benefiting local artists, arts organizations, and the community.
Outstanding performances will be featured during the event. Local performing arts groups will present exciting classical music selections, powerful dance pieces, and inspiring piano compilations. See Entertainment Schedule
Arti Gras offers a multitude of creative activities for children giving kids the opportunity to create their own special art piece to take home. There will be facepainting, henna, balloon animals, pottery, painting, and more. At the Young Collector’s Shop, children can make their own art purchases. Art pieces have been generously donated by exhibiting artists and range in price from $1 to $10.
Information booths and special exhibits by community organizations are represented at Arti Gras. Visitors will learn valuable information about the many cultural opportunities in the Green Bay area.
An array of tasty treats is offered at the event including gourmet soups and delicious sandwiches, specialty coffee drinks, kettle corn, roasted almonds, and more.
