JeffStThe highly celebrated arts festival takes stage August 28, 29 and 30 offering a fresh and eclectic mix of visual, performing, and literary arts activities. For 34 years Artstreet has been bringing art out of galleries, museums and theaters to the streets of downtown Green Bay. Taking  art out of its traditional setting to one central public place is what makes the event so popular amongst art enthusiasts. And the events unique ability to expose people who might not normally experience the arts attracts new admirers to downtown during its three day run.

Visitors will encounter exciting new features at the event this year!

The area’s first literary journal, The Quill, will be available at Artstreet. The Quill features fiction and poetry work of middle school, high school and college students from the greater Green Bay area. The aim of the project is to promote appreciation for literature and the art of writing and to encourage young writers to continue their passion for writing by making the art more of a presence in the community.

Education books in library

New this year, event patrons will have the opportunity to experience literary performance and engage directly with talented writers during intimate stage readings featuring both published authors and aspiring youth writers.

The most notable change at Artstreet will be the event layout which will bring more activities into the streets and out of the parking lots. The enhanced layout will allow patrons to better enjoy the festival offerings as they wander through the art fair.

Artstreet hours have also been updated to extend the art fair into the early evening giving visitors more time to browse the tremendous collection of artwork featured at the event while music will end earlier than in past years in order to coincide with all other event activities.
